but now, i can't connect through activesync.

i get this message: Synchronization cannot be completed successfully. Remove the device and try to to connect again.

I tried removing and reconnecting but th same problem occurs. pls help! :blush:

hi buzz
i have an imate pocket pc with the software showing 1.72 , it has arabic language too.
i tried upgrading it with the no_id version of wm2005 but i faced 3 problems
1- from the begining , my pc refuses to do a hard reset by pressing all 3 bottons ,t only restarts ( soft reset )
2- after upgrading and when it gives me the sign hat everything is finished and i do a hard reset (by pessing on the soft reset)and power ,blue screen stucks and the only change happens is the blue light flashing and the back screen is dim
3- i managed to downgraded it to 2003 , whenever i do ( softreset with power botton ) i get a massege of curropted files needed to be removed and it asks me YES OR NO , i tried both but nothing is different .
the wm2005 looks great, can u help me here

unluckily the ROM upgrade for your device is not available here. the upgrade is for HTC devices only at the moment.

hard reset in wm5 is not the same with wm2003/SE. pls refer to procedure 10 (sticky/1st post of this thread) & check how it's done.

pls. check for the prerequisites: activesync 4.x (as4), xp home/pro with service pack 1 & 2. better yet, pls try to "search forum" for issues & solutions to as4 problems.

Thanks so much! I can sync with my laptop running on win xp pro. but couldn't with my desktop running on win2000. i'm using activesync 4.1.

anyway, you know where i can download a better photo viewer? just like the "album" in wm2003? i need in to be in rar or zip format because the ones i found are in exe format which i can't download because our server rejects it. thanks! :cheer:

unpluge your pc
remove the usb
turn off your computer
remove the power cable of your computer for few seconds
plug the power cable and start your computer
put the usb cradle back ( don't use hubs)
insert the pc and wait for it to be recognized by the windows
don't bother if the active sync is gray
start the upgrade
