Hi Guys,

Sorry to sound basic, but I am new here and I can't find the Widcomm 1.50 file to download in the DOWNLOADS section, even though I have found the 'Widcomm fix after install for 1.50' file.

I have successfully completed the WM5 upgrade and would love to use my new Motorola HT820 bluetooth headphones to listen to music on my XDA II!!

DazzyB.

Edit...

Oops, I just noticed the file was attached to the post! :blush:<br><br>Post edited by: DazzyB, at: 2005/11/01 16:34

I copied all the files in the Widcomm file except 2 files ppc does not want to copy:

Roadster_Init_Script212.bts
Roadster_Init_Script211.bts

and my desktop gives this massage:
access denied

make sure your mobile device has sufficient memory, that the file is not set as rea-only, and that you have permission to copy this file.

my himalaya has WM2005 1.60.96 and ramdisk with radio 1.08 and bootloader 1.03

please help me

did you install file 1 first?..

cuz i opened the cab file (headset) and saw the same platformxxx.reg in it ..

so when you install the fix (file 1) and then you install (file 2) ..it will get over written with the old registery

so
install file 2 first then file 1

Phil i found a fix which im sure will fix this issue ,
Cause i was looking up the platfromxxx.reg and found this
key
Code: Select all
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev]
"Dll"="btceavif.dll"

so i found another fix which will turn this into
Code: Select all
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev]
"AudioEnabled"=dword:00000001
"Dll"="btceif.dll"
"Prefix"="WAV"
"Order"=dword:00000000
"Index"=dword:00000001
"IClass"="{A32942B7-920C-486b-B0E6-92A702A99B35}"

try and mostly it will work ...

update us
AND IF THIS DOESNT WORK WE HAVE TO TRY REPLACE "btceif.dll" WITH DIFFERENT VERSION OF WIDCOMM AND BROADCOMM AND SEE WHICH WORKS
